Fairytales
If I were free I would stay up all night
Let my fingers danced against your spine
Turn the whole of you gently from side to side
If I were free
I would let you wisk
me away to fantasy of love that captured me forever with just one kiss
Can our time be magical?
Of course, that's the story of black women
Traveling through time on wings, prays, strength, attitude, and heart encrusted in gems
If I were free,
I would close my eyes
Let u exhale in my psyche
And explode from discovery
A high to analyze and not summarize
I want to be yours in the day
I want to float away
Make my own image of you some day
If I were free
I would find ur climax
Fold up in your falling action
Delight that we reached indelible satisfaction
I plot to be yours in every moment
I agree in disobedience
I could transcend
Live on Walden
And fulfill decrees
Only with you
But I'm trapped in chronos
Responsibility
My emotions scream
I wish I could lose the sense of urgency to sleep
Hold you in my hand
And continue to read.
Untitled
Funny things they are
Lines
Lines that create border
To make sure you don’t cross over them
But can you fathom
How thin
These lines are
because they come from the left side of all that’s imagined
pose themselves with premises
of
I was only jokin
A dagger wrapped 100 truths
Murderous tongues aiming to kill all that’s human
Let me flash some lights on imperfections
Discolorations
Rolls of good eating and lack of stepfording
Public declarations to friends and kin
“What wrong with her? Why she so self-conscious?”
I she felt the pokes thru the lines that are thin
Gun claps
Clap backs
Snap backs
Headwraps
Gray hoodies
Justify stifling growth
Why do you fear?
We are only protecting
All that we’ve stolen
It’s mine
Look at you
You hate you too
See how you do
So how can you blame me
You even lie to yourself
“it’s a term of endearment”
Never to think
You keep
Speaking death over yourself
But it’s blurry
This line is
Must be the reason so many always crossing it.
